Getting around school with thousands of other students in the hallways is already quite  a headache. Now imagine trying to trudge through the halls from class to class with crutches. Your underarms are sore, your balance is off center and the main hallway is a zoo.

Your average school day can be turned upside down. The school day would fill with even bigger inconveniencies than congestion in the hallways and one too many books in hand.

Junior Stephen Cobb had knee surgery because he blew out his knee and tore his ACL sophomore year. “In weight training, I can’t do anything,” Cobb said. “When I can walk I can do arm stuff, but since I can’t walk yet, I just hang out.”

My friends and I were trying to jump off chairs and dunk at a middle school,” sophomore Daniel Jeong said. “My fingers were on the rim, and I slipped off and landed on the chair below. I get to leave class early. I guess that’s a perk.”

Junior Nirali Mehta sprained her knee because her opponent ran full speed into her. “I don’t like being injured,” Mehta said. “It’s just so hard to get around. It’s slowing me down and I feel hopeless.”
